About Me

Akshath Salekoppal Ramesh

Currently pursuing Master's in Computer Engineering at University of Texas at Dallas. My course work imbibes best of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. After Bachelor's in Electronics and Communication Engineering I worked with Infosys for an Year where I learnt much about object oriented programming using python, databases, SAP ABAP and software engineering models. While pursuing masters I was fortunate enough to work as student software developer with parking and transportation department of University of Texas at Dallas. As developer I was part of drafting requirements to testing tools developed from scratch that automated processes written in VBA, Access SQL and bit of C#. For Summer of 2018 I am interning as Software Developer with Mr Cooper previously known as National mortgage. I always look forward to get involved in fun technical projects during my free time. Let's collaborate.

My Career

Mr. Cooper

•Created REST service in MVC model using Spring Boot for delivering content to ReactJS and D3.JS to render event flow graph. Used Redux and Saga along with ReactJS for monitoring state and render content. • Design involved aspect-oriented programming to enable analytics through mongo DB by logging information.

May 2018 - Present (Upd. 07/09/2018)
Software Devloper Intern

The University of Texas at Dallas, P&T Dept.

• Developed invoicing application to bill and send emails to users in MS Access. Design involved handling MS Outlook object, MS Word object, Access SQL queries, file dialogs and business logic implementation. • Advocated solution streamlined process, accomplished 75% reduction in billable time, introduced three-point audit reducing human error, enriched content delivery using HTML and improvised content understanding.

July 2017 - May 2018
Student Software Developer

Infosys Ltd.

• Designed 3 tier e-marketing application. Implemented it using Python and Oracle Database connections. Participated in project plan presentation, functional and nonfunctional analysis, development and testing. • Created easy to use SAP application to allocate optimal location to employees based on various parameters in SAP ABAP an ERP language. Client-Server SAP R/3 system was implemented using SAP NetWeaver.

September 2015 - June 2016
Systems Engineer

My Projects

Reverse Engineering Lyft.com Databases

Reverse engineered lyft.com database for normalization analysis and derived relational as well as normalized relational schema and few relevant triggers for the system.

Content Addressable p2p Hypermedia Sharing

Designed system architecture and implemented server nodes in Java to maintain p2p network, hashed content table, track content, provide content and manage client through HTTP/1.0 gateway.

ASIC Design - Mini Stereo Audio Processor

Devised FIR filter architecture in Verilog RTL and verified using C. Verified pre and post synthesis functionality. Optimized physical design area and power using Synopsys IC Compiler tool.

Evaluation of Cache Hierarchy on x86 Architecture

Examined optimal cache configuration encompassing x86 microprocessor architecture using gem5 tool and python script to run multiple parameter variation of CPU type, cache level, size, associativity and block size.

Physical Design of Custom Imperial/Metric Unit Convertor I

• Implemented state machine RTL behavioral code in Verilog following IEEE 754 FP single precision standard. • Design of IBM130nm process IC involved custom layout for standard cells using Cadence Virtuoso, DRC, LVS, PEX, HSPICE simulation, cell library design using SliconSmart, Design vision synthesis, automatic place and route using Encounter and PrimeTime for timing and power analysis.

Autonomous Moving Target Detection and Tracking

• Designed and developed a tracking algorithm to track human beings in a given frame with the use of Haar cascade classifiers. • Designed architecture and implemented image processing algorithm in Python using OpenCV. Fabricated hardware with camera and Arduino calibrator/ controller driving stepper motor to replicate and validate actions taken by algorithm.

Basic Mobile Telephone

Engineered device capable for making and receiving calls. Implementation involved managing serial communication between SIM900A GSM module and Arduino with LCD display and Keypad interfaced.
